Iranian ‘Psycho’ vying at Diogenes fest

Iranian short flick ‘Psycho’ has been competing at the second edition of the International Short Film Internet Festival “Diogenes 2021” in Georgia.

Directed and written by Mostafa Davtalab, the Iranian short film tells the story of a couple - a young woman and a patient with a psychiatric disorder - who take a taxi to a psychiatric hospital.

As serious betrayal conflicts erupt between the two, the driver becomes highly enraged.

The cast list of the short film includes Reza Amouzad, Roya Hosseini and Mohammad Nariman.

‘Psycho’ has previously taken part in the Under the Moon International Film Festival (Islantilla Cinefórum), the Riurau International Short Film Festival, both in Spain, and the Corti da Sogni Festival in Italy.

The Diogenes, an online event, hosts films in any digital format.

The 2021 edition of the festival has been underway since November 30 and will end on December 10. The winners will be announced on December 15.
